"Yes, but not very well. His artistic abilities haven't come very far since the dark ages of our childhood," Loki said, dryly. "Dye everywhere. I attempted to help, but he rather put me off the decorating mood after a good two minutes."

Sif looked very pretty when she laughed; and he supposed just then that it was more enhanced by the fact she had left her hair loose and wild. "How do you think I know that the method works?" he asked. "I've tried it myself, obviously. Don't worry; I can handle that side of things if we ever get lost on the hotel grounds. You'll have to hunt for our food, though."

He reached for the bottle, which really, he had barely cracked into - if he had been serious about drinking he would have brought more wine, just as he would have brought more books if he was serious about reading. He went through both quickly enough when left to his own devices. No, he was making a marked attempt at laziness, so naturally he didn't mind distraction by Sif. "A mild interest," he said. "Some of it is good, some of it bad, much like anywhere else, I suppose. This author seems rather obsessed with the human condition as a whole. DH Lawrence. His prose is a little bit much, though."
