Loki grinned at her, at the way her expression seemed to dim, slightly. "Well," he said, "my main concern is I don't get to see much if I'm busy trying to carry someone to the nearest exit before their head gets ripped off. So having you around would mean actual exploring could take place. And, you know," he said, reaching out to gently poke one of her smooth, but very pale, calves. "The aforementioned hunting and gathering. Though if you want me to carry you to safety, I can do my best."
He raised his eyebrows at her, though, at mentioning 'depressed' moments. "Have all the mortals you've met been so distressing?" he asked. "For the most part they've been rather vibrant creatures, to me. I don't think of them as particularly short-lived, since they don't express themselves that way. Though that does make them interesting.
"Ruby is interesting," he continued, musingly. "I think there is more to her than even she is aware of. But she told me all about outfitting you. Apparently, you were more accepting of her help than mine," he added. He shifted, laying back in the grass and stretching out, smiling up at Sif in a self-satisfied way. "And I'm more than aware of my good taste, thank you, thank you."
