Sif's laughter at Loki's denying remark came with a roll of the eyes that was much less heartfelt than usual. As she watched him open the second wine bottle Sif found that she became quite overwhelmed by how easy this was. She had not been this comfortable with Loki in such a long while, and for such awful reasons that it had all but obliterated the good times they had spent together.

A deep sigh of contentment escaped her, after which Sif's eyes widened in surprise at her own lack of restraint. She had never been able to successfully hide her own emotions from her face, but this went beyond that. Attempting to disguise the sound would be ridiculous, and so Sif simply braced for Loki's reaction to such unguarded manifestations of pleasure in his company.

"It has been some time since I have seen you up to such harmless and good-natured mischief." She eventually managed as explanation, turning her face away from Loki.
